You know your from where I live when.....
1. You ever went to parties at a pasture, barn, or in the middle of a dirt road.
2.You said the 'f' word, or anything about your parents, and they knew within the hour
3.You schedule parties around the schedule of different police officers, since you know which ones would bust you and which ones wouldn't - same goes with the game warden
4.There is no point in high-school reunions because everyone knows what everyone else is doing anyway.
5.Driving cars up and down the main drag is a universal high school experience.
6.You ever went cow-tipping or snipe hunting
7.The whole school went to the same party after graduation
8.Your car stays filthy because of the dirt roads, and you will never own a dark vehicle for this reason.
9.You decide to walk somewhere for exercise and 5 people pull over and ask if you need a ride.
10.Your favorite things to do outside the house are see a movie or go to Wal-mart.
11.You go to the part at 3pm, and the skies are clear. By 3:05 you're running for cover from the thunderstorms
12.Your teachers remember when they taught your parents
13.Your idea of vacation is a day trip to Branson.
14.You know that Bachelor guy, because he gave your sister an STD.
15.It is normal to see an old man riding through town on a riding lawn mower.
16.A cool vehicle had big tires or the entire back seat is a stereo.
find out if you act like where you live

Gays and lesbians: they are sinners, but do we handle it right?
I had the worlds most AweXome post on this....But blogger deleted it!!!!!!!grrrrr...Well here is the new version and if this makes you mad, I'm sorry,I t also may have some language some people don't like (no cursing, but just not nice terms), I am sorry for this also, and if you have a dispute, feel free to let me know, with scripture handy! :D
ThisHas stirred up a lot of controversy in my area. A Gay high school Junior one day decided that since he saw a lot of the kids wearing anti-gay T-Shirts to school, and some were offensive, that he would Make his own gay pride shirt. The school punished him for it and now the ACLU is suing the school for discrimination, and I am on their side. Why you ask? Although I am a Christian and believe that homosexuality is a sin, I also believe that God is the judge of these people, not me, and not the school either. They should have the dress code state that shirts not display ANY sexual content, not just no homosexual content.
The thing that makes this story so horrid is the people from the westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, KS. This congregation is so anti-gay that they made the trip to Webb City just to harass high school students by screaming obscene things to them and waving signs such as "God hates America", "God doesn't love everyone" and other things as you can see on the site. As if this isn't enough, on the way there, they protested in the same manner outside of 5 Joplin churches on the Sunday morning before telling them that gays are non forgiveable.ummm shouldn't they be IN church on Sunday morning, not outside demeaning one? Also, last time I read the Bible, John 3:16 said "for God so loved the world.." Not "For God so loved the people who already follow him".These people honestly give Christians a bad name...For example: on the news tonight they had one of the protesters on ther to hear his POV and all he kept saying was "God hates fags, fags will burn in Hell" and things like that. I am sorry , but if you have a viewpoint, even if it is against something morally corrupt, you don't start calling people crude terms and protest in a demeaning manner, especially if you are a Christian. It doesn't set a good example for others and who wants to accept Jesus as their savior and repent if every time they see a Christian all they do is tell them they are nasty and hopeless!
So, yes! I am in support of this boys law suit! Not because of him or because I'm pro- gay, but because they have made a moral and religious issue out of it and if you ask me if a 16 year old gay boy is forgivable, I say YES!!!!I think it is HORRID that instead of counseling, praying, and witnessing to him, people honestly think that humiliating him is more effective...
I do have to agree with them that some churches are like"whorehouses" as they put it, in the aspect that they take your money and give you an hour or two of satisfaction, but just because a church doesn't approve of homosexuality, doesn't mean they have to be gay bashers. A pastor I know put it the best on how to treat a homosexual, especially in the church. They said the best thing you can do for them is pray for them, accept them, but not condone what they do. If they truly want to be a child of God, they will realize what they are doing is a sin and repent. I have known several people who were gay and thought they were Christians, then once you show them where the bible talks about homosexuals, they realize what they are doing. Also, if you have to buy a fake body part to make love to your spouse, doesn't that seem a little wrong to you? THAT'S how you talk to a homosexual! :D

Adoption: One persons reject is three people's joy
After talking to my doctor about a month ago, I have given a lot of thought to the idea of having children. I have a condition called
polycystic ovarian syndrome, which usually causes hairyness, obesity, and infertility, but in my case i lose weight and hair. They are trying to find out why i have it, but until then...im'm just weird. Although I am physically able to have children it would be horrid trying and mean months of bed rest ...Not my thing, so I have been looking into what it would take to adopt a child.
After searching a little I realized how hard it is in the us to locate a child young enough not to have vivid memories of their parents. It's not that I want the children to never know anything about their parents, I believe in letting an adopted child know properly through out their life that you aren't their biological parent, if you don't they will resent you later....But I would rather have an orphaned infant who I can tell that it had a mommy and daddy who loved them but aren't there, then have to watch a child self destruct because they miss their parents or were abandoned and lost. These children need homes too, and if it was the right child I might, but while I'm just looking at my options, I'm being picky.
So after all of this, I started looking into adopting children in Russia....And my heart melted. Especially when it comes to the "50% off" children. If the child you want to adopt has any type of handicap or physical issue(missing a toe, large birthmark anywhere, crooked nose) you receive a discount of sorts because these children are considered "unacceptable" by most people there, and many here. I have actually heard stories about people there abandoning their children after they are born or refusing them because their child wasn't the gender they wanted or they were "too ugly". Sometimes the "ugly" kid in the corner grows up to be a super model or owner of the most successful company in the world. You never know what a child will be.
The orphanages there also have more infants to adopt out because not many people there adopt children and they don't have the facilities to properly house infants for an extended amount of time. So this is probably what I will do, depending on whoever I marry of course, but there are always children who need a home and love, and parents who need a child to give these things to.

The wow factor and why im voting, but wondering why
It's election day, so i had to do a semi political post!!!
when it comes to the election this year, i am less than thrilled with my options. i have followed every election since i can remember except for this one, the first i actually get to vote in. why you ask? one reason...the "wow" factor. when a president enters a room, even if you dont know who he is, he needs to create a sense of awe...neither candidate has that! one you think "who is this strange constipated fellow using the big words that don't make sense" and with the other you wonder "who let this hillbilly in here?" its depressing, but to me vice is easier, John Edwards has wow, but the standpoint sucks. On first ladies there is no competition...Mrs. Bush wins by a landslide(even quite possibly the best ever).I am not going to tell who i am voting for because it changes constantly, but after doing my research, have picked the right candidate. But it would be awesome if we could have a machine that we could throw Bush and Kerry in, turn it on, and spit out the greatest candidate ever. Have him marry The current first lady, have a morally better version of John Edwards as vice (for wow of course) and we would have it made!!! :)
