I passed! I passed!
I took my NET nursing entrance exam and got a 73% ( I only had to get a 50)and scored in either the 83rd percentile or the 89th... I don't remember which...but it's awesome!!!

Our God really is an awesome God, and The Great Physician!!!!!
Do you know why? Because right now, there isn't a doctor out there who knows a cure for cancer...but God can cure it in an instant. A few weeks ago, I found out that one of my friends from High school was dignosed with cancer. They weren't 100% sure where the cancer was located ( just a general area), But when they took the cancer cell count, it was incredibly high. After alot more testing, they decided to send her to a specialist in a larger city . We had all been praying for her the whole time, and when she went to church sunday, they had a special prayer service for her, and when they prayed, she said she really felt something. a few days later when she went to the specialist, she was cured,.....CURED!!! 100%! They did several tests and did not find one cancer cell and she was completely healed! Alot of skeptics may say it was a fluke on the doctor's part, but they knew she had cancer, her cancerous cell count was showing it was pretty advanced, that doesn't happen with a fluke. Yes, doctors can prescribe medications or chemotherapy to cancer patients to help cure them, but God can do it overnight, painlessly, and you get to keep your hair!

I know I am becoming a (totally off my origional subject) broken record...but.....
THIS is so scary it's not even funny, and with hundreds of thousands of people seeking refuge from the hurricanes all over the U.S....we all need to be very alert. Not to say we should be scared of these people, we should embrace them and help, but we just need to also realize these are people just like everyone else around us, and while most of them are good, there are always a few who are not.

Dr. Ben Marble is my new hero!
Yes, Dr. Ben Marble...A.k.A. "The man who told the Vice president of the United States to 'go F*** yourself''". If you go to his web page
www.hurricanekatrinasucked.com you can start to understand why. If I had suffered the devistating loss these people have, and returned to my destroyed home, only to find a man standing outside of it telling the press "we did the best we could" knowing different, I probably would have had to say something along the same lines. Maybe not the F-word, but still. The pictures of this man's home look like a demolition site for a condemned building. There is broken glass and lumber everywhere, and behind it all you see is a partial shell of what was once his home. The streets in his neighborhood looks like they bombed. It definitly takes alot of guts to do what he did, and i honestly believe he spoke for most of us when he did. New Orleans was bad, but there was alot more destroyed and we need to remember that.

Can't...think....brain...hurts........
I am still studying for my entrance exam into nursing classes and it is way harder than I expected. I took a practice test with the thinking it would be as easy as the ACT and was wrong. So very, very wrong...I only got a 60%...... 60%!!!!!!!!!! So now, I am having to master Algebra, Geometry, and Biochemistry in a little over a week! If anyone out there has any tips let me know...otherwise, I won't be sleeping until probably the 28th!!

Who knew Nursing Shool would be so hard!
And I haven't even got accepted yet! Have not even took the entrance exam yet, and already my brain is fried......And why you ask? t's this horrid thing called a FAFSA,The financial aid forms. At the age of 21, I am still considered a dependent child by the IRS, problem is according to the IRS, I have also been an independent adult since the age of 16. So along with the rediculous tax info on the typically hard FAFSA, I also have to do an override proving that, Yes, i am an adult. Rediculous, you can fight and get killed in a war, drive, drink and get married(hopefully none of these simultaneously), but you aren't old enough to claim yourself on your income taxes. Then, there is the actual entrance exam, which studying for hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Most of it was surprisingly the stuff i was good at in HS, So I think I will be ok. Plus, I am going into this with the confidence that I WILL pass, I WILL get into the program, and I WILL do my best. If it is what God wants me to do, he will provide. Plus, so many people have worked very hard to help me with this, and I will be the youngest nursing student there, so I have alot to prove and I don't want to let everyone down.Anywho, there is my rant and update for the day!

International thoughts on the hurricane Katrina crisis
This is quite interesting. Alot of the thoughts posted there from different media outlets around the world are very interesting, and with the EU now donating supplies, The U.S's Image may never be the same.

The greatest small town in the U.S.A.
I honestly must live in one of the most giving towns in the united states. Our businesses have sent countless boats, trucks of food and supplies and volunteeres. Our fire and resue departments sent team members to help. Our County commission is sending over $10,000 In funds. Our red cross team raised over $131,000 . Not too bad for a town of a little under 15, 000. even walking through wal-mart shows the generosity, where the donation boxes are full of $10's and $20's. the town even pulled together to privide a hotel room, food and clothing for a family who broke down outside of town while escaping from the hurricane. Also, we have had a few families move here after evacuating and are accepted and welcomed with open arms. I definitly love my town..
